  • 2 antenatal visits to discuss your birth plan, any previous pregnancies (if any) and anything else you want to discuss.
  • Ongoing support throughout all your pregnancy.
  • 24/7 on call period, 14 days before your estimated due date, until your baby is born. I will try my best to be available if your baby comes early. 24 hours a day calls, texts and emails during this period.
  • Provide you with evidence-based information and, passionately support you to provide you with all the information you need to make informed decisions.
  • I will ease communication with healthcare professionals, ensuring you are heard, and your needs are met.
  • Discuss your previous birth experiences (if any) and how these can affect your approach to this pregnancy/birth.
  • Discuss your birth options, stages of labour, birth hormones, what to expect during labour, pain relief (medically and holistically) and comfort measures.
  • Help with writing your birth plan and support you in creating your ideal birth environment (wherever you wish to give birth). Make sure anyone else caring for you, are aware of these too. I will make sure your birth choices are respected and your voice heard.
  • I will help you with practical things during labour, such as making drinks and food, maintaining your birth pool…etc
  • I will be available and support you during the entire duration of labour and birth, at whatever point you want me to, until you are all settled and don’t need me anymore.
  • I will support you during the “golden hour” after birth (if you choose to breast/chest feeding) and assist you and your partner (if applicable), with skin-to-skin.
  • Ongoing support up until 6 weeks after birth.
  • Discuss your postnatal care plan – how you plan to feed your baby and how to prepare for that.
  • Signpost to relevant services and resources. You can also borrow any of my pregnancy and birth books, birthing ball, TENs machine.
  • Advice on what to pack for the hospital.
  • 2 postnatal visits in the first 6 weeks after the birth, plus continuous support during these 6 weeks (calls, texts, or emails), signposting, advice – additional support can also be arranged.

If you feel you need more sessions to prepare for your birth, we can arrange this.
Each session is tailored to you and your needs and your family’s.

Following this meeting, please let me know within 7 days if you wish to book me. We can then exchange a letter of agreement and I will send you an invoice for the deposit. Then we can arrange to meet in person, before the on-call period.
